Arrival:

Visitors must arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the trek. For safety reasons, please do not arrive before this, as farm machinery will be operating and access to our farmyard for parking will not be available.
It is important that trekking groups keep together. If you arrive late, you will miss the trek.

Your day out:

This is a 90 minute experience. 1 adult per alpaca

Children aged 3-10 years must share an alpaca with an adult. Please note ratio 1 adult with each child (not including babies in backpacks).​

Walking Ability:

You must be able to walk between 1-2 miles on uphill and uneven terrain. The walk is not difficult and we take a leisurely pace. If you have any uncertainties about your walking ability, we advise that you contact us before booking. Please note that we do not allow wheelchairs or pushchairs on our treks.

Our Farm

We run our alpaca trekking business alongside a working farm. There will be areas visitors will not be able to enter and we ask you to respect that as we don’t want any of our customers or animals put in danger. Don’t worry, there will be opportunities for you to see the farm animals throughout the tour!

Parking

Due to us being a working farm, we may need to operate farm machinery while walks are taking place. It is important you abide by our parking signage on arrival.

Please note that for safety and security reasons, we can not allow members of the public to stay on site, unless they are participating in a trek.

Dogs

We do not allow dogs on site. Alpacas do not like even the friendliest dogs, so please do not bring any four legged friends to our farm at all.

Children

Alpacas do like well behaved and well supervised children so please do bring them along. Please note that the terrain is not suitable for buggies. Spectators are not permitted. We aim to provide a SAFE and enjoyable experience for all.

When purchasing your tickets, please note the required ratio – 1 adult to 1 child for all children aged 3-10 years:

Adult Ticket: £25
Adults over the age of 16 years

Child Ticket: £20
Children between 10-15 years must be able to walk their own alpaca. These children must be supervised by an adult who must purchase an adult ticket for themselves.

Parent and Child Ticket: £30
Children between 3-10 years must attend with an adult at a 1:1 ratio. The adult will be given the alpaca to handle and it is up this adult to decide during the walk if the child is able to share leading their alpaca under close supervision.

Group Bookings

If you would like a private group booking, please get in touch so that we can tailor for your requirements and price accordingly.

Clothing

As this is a working farm, things can get a bit muddy, especially if the weather has been poor. Please dress accordingly. The majority of our walking is off road so please wear suitable footwear. Please do not bring umbrellas.

Weather:

The weather in this area can be very unpredictable, often contrary to weather forecasts. We can not control the weather and we do our very best to continue walking if we deem possible and safe for our customers and alpacas. We understand it can be disappointing, but cancellations due to bad weather are at our discretion. If we need to cancel we will re-arrange an alternative date for you within the next 12 months.

Facilities:

We have on site toilets and hand washing facilities.

Booking Adjustments:

No adjustments can be made on the day so please make sure your group numbers are correct for the number of alpacas you have booked. If any changes are required, please contact us a minimum of 48 hours in advance of your walk.

Covid-19

If you are unable to attend your booked trek due to a regional lockdown, we will reschedule your booking for a later date. Refunds will not be issued in the event of a regional lockdown.

Cancelation Policy

We require a 48-hour notice if you would like to cancel your trek. Refunds will not be given for cancellation, however we will be happy to reschedule to a more convenient date and time, subject to availability, providing we are given your 48-hour notice. You will be given a 12-month period from your initial booking date to rearrange another visit.
Please note, no offer to reschedule will be given if you fail to give us 48-hours notice.

Private Bookings

We aim to provide an inclusive experience for all. If you have any special requirements which may prevent you from booking onto our standard walks, please contact us with your requirements so that we can try our very best to accommodate you.

Redeeming Voucher

Trek vouchers are not the same as tickets. You will be emailed a unique code that you can pass on to your gift recipient. When booking an alpaca trek on our website, this code can be redeemed at the checkout against the basket total. Trek vouchers are valid for 180 days after purchase. They can be used to book a place on any of our alpaca trekking experiences. Expiry dates can not be extended, however vouchers can be used to book treks beyond this 180 day expiry date. Trek vouchers can not be redeemed against other items in the shop such as clothing or merchandise.
